Study shows babies with colic do not become adults with digestive disorders
Does your baby have colic? If so, I am sure that the first thing that happens to you is the future of your little one. As much as they tell you that it is a benign disorder ... it screams and agitates in such a way ... that it cannot be that it disappears like this without further ado!

As parents, the first doubts that appear are. Will he suffer like this all his life? Will you have bowel problems? Will you have emotional problems? I remember wondering if my daughter could be happy. After spending months humming ... I had the feeling that, poor thing, I could never be happy. Why, let's recognize it ... what a hard arrival in this world!

As you well know, infant colic is not only an intestinal disorder but can be caused by many other aspects. Among these, the need for contact. But, today we want to talk about a study that has been developed at a university in the Netherlands, where they show that babies who suffered from colic, once adults, do not suffer from intestinal disorders. The study was prepared by Judith Zeevenhooven, MD, of the Department of Pediatric Gastroentology and Nutrition at the Medical Center, in Amsterdam.
The study begins with 371 babies who had symptoms of excessive crying. 15 years later, 221 of these babies could be contacted again and followed up.189 of these completed the survey where they evaluated whether they had digestive disorders. These results were compared with the same number of adults who did not suffer from infant colic as children.
The study found that 28% of adults who had suffered from colic had digestive disorders, compared with 20% of adults who had not suffered from colic. The point is that the difference does not present sufficient statistical differences to conclude that babies suffering from adult colic suffer from intestinal disorders.
It is for this reason, that it is increasingly proven that we cannot focus the entire focus of colic on a digestive disorder. If there can be a part of discomfort or a part of babies suffering from colic, they can have digestive disorders. But another great majority has other unmet needs that must be met.
